Enticing your audience with exceptional subject…

The following is a post from Terry Connolly, executive director of The Community Soup Kitchen. Terry shares some of the questions The Community Soup Kitchen has faced as its worked to improve its email marketing strategies.  Right now my professional life is all about subject lines.  How do you craft that perfect subject line that gets people to open the email? Because surely once they open the email they’ll see how great our organization is and they’ll be inspired to help.  I just need to get them to open that email! Should it be witty? Engaging? Intriguing? Exciting? Professional? And, does it say what we want it to say about us, in a succinct and meaningful way, all in under 60 or so…Read More

Instead of requiring monetary donations, the dress drive is a way for college students on the UC Berkeley campus to give back just by cleaning out their closets. Members of the Panhellenic and the Berkeley buildOn chapter will collect the dress donations and send them to VivaDressUp, a philanthropic fashion company that works with charitable organizations by collecting dresses and selling them at a reduced price and donating the majority of the proceeds to charity. This not…Read More
